I was making castings at the time of this image and it struck me that a photograph would suggest on the esoteric level the difficulties we make for ourselves and carry with us in the form of a cast where everything is healing beneath it.
On another level I hope this image draws the viewer to conclude his own story. What happened to her that she is in a cast. Its up to the viewer to come up with his own story. I hope to make an image that gives enough engagement that you question why and what happened here.
